Modes of Action of Stoller's Bio-Forge in Drought Tolerance

Increases in plant water retention in the field, and increased drought tolerance in laboratory tests have been observed in plants treated with Stoller’s Bio-Forge. Research into mechanisms behind these phenomena have been conducted at Texas A&M University. In controlled experiments, the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana (related to brassicas) was used to evaluate plant survival after severe drought. Results from 3 experiments indicated that soil treatment with water containing 0.6% Bioforge previous to the drought treatment increased survival of water-deprived plants by an average of 44%.
