Pollination & Flowering
Stressful growing conditions during the pollination and flowering period can significantly decrease final yield. Auxin is a key hormone plants need to be present in the right amount in order to stimulate ethylene production and initiate flowering. It also plays a role in pollen tube growth.
During high temperatures, plants cannot synthesize enough auxin and the shortage causes flower abortion, fruit/seed drop and physiological disorders at the time of flowering and seed/fruit set. Supplementing the plant with a product containing auxin and other micronutrient cofactors (i.e., boron, calcium, molybdenum, zinc, etc.) helps boost auxin availability and improve pollination and flowering.
